Concept bikes were all the rage at the Interbike Trade Show
back in the 90's but you don't see them much anymore. Not true at the car shows. The recent Tokyo Auto Show
, that runs through December 1st, had plenty of concept vehicles to peruse. Between all the cars, Lexus
was showing off this two-wheeled prototype called the Neo Xtreme that has a strong resemblance to a Trek Y bike or the Allsop Softride.
The Neo Xtreme uses an inverted fork that appears to have about four inches of travel. The 1x11 drivetrain looks right at home on a mountain bike but the top of the bike is all about time trialing.
If all the Lexus LFAs
were not already sold out (only 500 were imported to the States) we'd ask our local Lexus dealer to work a Neo Xtreme in with the purchase. Guess we'll have to try it with the RX 350 F Sport.

12 times a year because we never take a month off of mountain biking).
It has been around since 1986 and we're still having fun. You can start a
subscription by clicking here or calling (800) 767-0345. Also available from the Apple Newsstand for reading on your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch.
