Who are the guys in this picture? Here's a hint: Their biggest supporter was
once the fastest downhill skateboarder in the world. After that, he became a
pro downhill mountain biker and later president of Santa Cruz Bicycles. That guy
is Rob Roskopp, who once set a world record by going 62mph on a skateboard.
The guys shown here are Santa Cruz teammates Greg Minnaar (left) and Steve Peat
(right), racing against each other in the Sea Otter Classic dual slalom event. Greg
and Peaty have also been world champions. Minnaar has won the downhill World
Championship in mountain biking twice (2003 and 2012); Peaty has won that World
Championship once, in 2009, and he has also won the World Cup downhill series
title three times, while Minnarr has won that overall title four times.
