just released these three adjustable dropper seatpost variations that are only being sold to bicycle companies, but we still figured you would want to take a look. THIS IS NOT A TEST OR REVIEW. We have not had the opportunity to ride any of these posts. We pass this along because we find it interesting.
A Wireless Dropper Post
There will be three models and all three TranzX Dropper Posts share infinite adjustment functionality at various comfort levels. The two hydraulic models, JD-YSP02 Basic, with exterior cabling, and JD-YSP03 ICR, with interior cable routing, offer infinite hydraulic seat adjustment via handlebar lever control. The top-of-the-line, 2.4 GHz wireless version JD-YSP06 operates via a micro motor – cable-free with convenient handlebar control. The seat post head design of all three models facilitate secure and easy saddle mounting.
The image supplied by TranzX appears to be a mock-up of the electric JD-YSP06 model, so don't expect to see it on any mass-produced 2014 models (that are being shipped to bike shops right now). Still, it is an interesting concept that we will look forward to evaluating.
