For the fourth year in a row, Turner Suspension Bicycles
is throwing its support behind youth mountain bike racing by auctioning off a new bike with 100% of proceeds going to the SoCal High School Cycling League
. Turner was there at the dawn of creation of full-suspension mountain bikes, and in 2009 was there to support the efforts of a few pioneers who brought mountain bike racing to schools all over Southern California.
David Turner, the "Turner" in Turner Suspension bikes, says ”I have supported the League because I believe in mountain biking as a life-long past time whether as a hobby, sport or transportation. Turner Bikes involvement is about putting kids on bikes so that they ride bikes for life. An unexpected benefit to the team has been the number of parents that have become riders because of their exposure to mountain biking through their high school student being a part of the team. Moms and dads that may never have ridden seriously are buying equipment and learning a new athletic hobby and are bringing bikes to the races so they can see first hand the race course on the Saturday pre-ride. This kind of change has a great impact on the family bonds, as well as their health.”
So what better way to support the sport than to jump in and submit a bid for a new Turner Flux 27.5
? You can check out the bike and submit your offer on eBay. Every penny of the proceeds go the League and the winning bid is going to ride off with one of the most sought-after bikes of 2014.
