When hearing of USA Cycling's lack of funds to fully support a team for
the mountain bike World Championships, Sho-Air/Cannondale's Scott Tedro,
who does not have a rider headed to the Worlds, set up a fund to raise
money for USA Cycling to use to get riders to the Worlds. The fund has
shot past its goal of $17,500 to reach just above $20,000. The fund will
remain active through the week and then every penny is distributed to
the 35 riders named to the Worlds Team by USA Cycling. Motocross stars,
mountain bike legends and High School League racers have all kick in.
