When a downhill racer wants a change in their suspension setup, they have the luxury of taking it to the race trailer to have a specialist dial in the exact change they want. They rarely have to worry about knobs, air pressures or oil volumes. For the rest of us, if we want the same level of performance from our suspension, we have to learn a little about what goes into the setup and tuning process.
In this video, Mike Van Lienden from
Fox Racing Shox takes us through the setup he used for most racers at the Pro GRT race in Anglefire, New Mexico this year. He also explains why the technical and steep track requires a different setup than others.
