Northwave feels their new Matrix mountain bike shoe suits the demands of riders who want to make the best out of a mountain-bike ride, using a dedicated shoe with a quick-release system, while not giving up on walking comfort once they get off the saddle. This multi-use shoe is claimed to be versatile and reliable on and off the saddle, with an anti-slip natural rubber tread sole to provide stability and grip for any kind of excursion.
The Matrix has a new X-Crossbow sole, an innovative double-crossbow construction that is claimed to provide foot support and heel shock absorbing.
Inside the sole, built with the EVA structure, a progressive-molding insert provides efficient stiffness when riding as well as ideal comfort in walking stretches. In the upper, the new multi-layer construction matches extra-light PU and large thermowelded mesh vents inserts, resulting in comfort and reduced weight while maintaining the same thickness of traditional monolayers.

Matrix is not afraid of weather too: as an additional protection of the upper in wet days, specific Water and Mud-proof shoecovers are included in the package.

Closing System: Laces+Strap
Heel: Rubber reinforcement
Footbed: Freeride
Weight: 15 ounces (claimed)
