Speedplay is primarily  known for making ultra-lightweight and user-friendly road pedals. But their new flats look like a seriously good option for gravity riders and dirt jumpers. Read what Speedplay has to say about the new pedals here:

From Speedplay:

High performance Brass Knuckles Racing Pedals from Speedplay are now shipping in four eye-catching options including Red, Black, and Gold anodized, and Hand-Polished Alloy. For riders who demand the absolute best in quality, performance, and durability, Brass Knuckles are the ultimate solution.

With a super-thin body profile on a bombproof, 12mm-diameter spindle, Brass Knuckles are extremely light weight and low profile. Featuring a high-quality CNC machined body with 20 proprietary traction pins, the titanium and chrome-moly spindle models tip the scales at 335g and 395g per pair respectively. Each pedal features one needle bearing and two cartridge bearings which are double sealed and can be easily serviced through the handy, built-in grease-port.

“I saw the need for an ultra-light, designed-for-racing flat pedal with quality needle and cartridge bearings, a stronger full-length spindle, and the thinnest possible profile”, says Speedplay CEO Richard Bryne. “With rider input from five-time National Bicycle Trials Champion Jeremy VanSchoonhoven, we developed a pedal that not only looks better but also delivers a unique package of performance features and strength overkill you just can’t get with any other flat pedal.”

Brass Knuckles Racing Pedals are built to withstand the harshest punishment without sacrificing weight or performance and are available in four colors: Red, Black, and Gold anodized, as well as Hand-Polished Alloy.
