John Tomac's first full cover on Mountain Bike Action
Our January 1987 issue featured the legendary John Tomac as the subject of our main cover photo. This was the third issue of Mountain Bike Action.
Tomac would make several cover appearances over the years, but this was the first time he appeared in the main photo on the cover. He was a phenomenally skilled and photogenic rider. What’s more, he used to live less than 10 miles from our offices, and he was always happy to join us for a photoshoot.
