Absa Cape Epic Release Coronavirus Statement

As we near the start of race day for the coveted Abasa Cape Epic concerns grow over a schedule change due to the coronavirus. Today, the Cape Epic Team sent out a newsletter that the well-being of the riders, crew, volunteers, partners, host communities and staff is their primary concern. This team has been developing and refining its operational plans with local authorities and agencies over the past year, including relevant safety measures and protocols which have been heightened over the last few weeks due to this virus.

At this stage, the South African National Department of Health will not be altering any arrangements for public events, and therefore will be going forward with the Absa Cape Epic as originally planned.
