Ask MBAction: Hardtail Buying Advice
Stoked to hear you’re interested in joining the pedal side of Hi-Torque Publications. A hardtail is a great bike to start with, since they tend to cost less than full-suspension bikes with the same components. We haven’t spent much time on Commencal’s Meta HT, but we did do a full test on Diamondback’s carbon-framed Sync’r. Although we’re sure you’re looking at the aluminum version, we still think you’d have a great time with that bike.

Mountain Bike Action is a monthly magazine devoted to all things mountain biking (yes, that’s 12 times a year because we never take a month off of mountain biking). It has been around since 1986 and we’re still having fun.
