Continuing with their bent for downhill and dual-slalom action, Azonic offers a motorcycle-style helmet aimed at riders who want to travel at kamikaze speeds. Key features: A true, motorcycle-like polycarbonate shell offers the full-coverage protection of a motocross helmet. The visor is adjustable and stays blended with the helmet shell and matching paint scheme. Four 5mm alloy screws bolt the visor in position. The inner foam liner cushions the skull and upholstered padding keeps things inside cool and comfortable. Thick pads squeeze against the cheeks and stabilize the shell. The inside of the mouth guard is heavily padded. Vents in the mouth guard bring cool air into the helmet, while visor vents evacuate the clammy vapors. The AZX weighs 2 lb. 1 oz. MBA rating: Five stars. The aero, ducktail shape of the Azonic shell and the stylish paint job are appealing. The helmet is available in enough sizes to fit everyone. Our large helmet comfortably snugged on and stayed in position over large-sized heads. Unfortunately, the motorcycle-like, slip-loop buckle was hard to use. The Azonic is Snell 95 motocross certified. Suggested retail is $150. For more information call Azonic at (818) 998-1049.
