Easton has released an all new wheelset aimed at versatility and durability. The new HEIST can handle everything from cross-country to aggressive trail and enduro riding. With two diameter and three rim width options, the HEIST has a little something for everyone.
The HEIST will come in three different rim width options to suite different styles; 24, 27, and 30 millimeter. With the different options in rim widths, Easton was able to change the rim profile to be stronger and allow for lower tire pressures to increase traction. The HEIST is tubeless ready at all levels.
To go along with the rim options, Easton designed the new X5 hub. The X5 is universal and can be converted for different axles by simply changing the end caps. Easton uses larger bearings to increase durability and handle more aggressive riding. The X5 uses a 3-pawl design with a 21-tooth reinforced drive ring. The HEIST will be available in an XD SRAM and Shimano freehub compatibility.
All of these features are packed into a $700 retail and will be available at a shop near you soon.
