The Players Stay Plugged In

Decades after Jeff Steber helped pioneer the performance DH bike, he’s now head over heels excited about developing new e-bikes of both the pedal- and throttle-assist variety. Intense offers two levels of their Shimano-powered Tazer e-bike at $5900 and $7900.

Kona has never shied away from taking a front-row seat when it comes to jumping into new mountain bike categories. The Canadian brand offers two Bosch-powered versions of their aluminum Remote e-bike priced at $4500 and $5999, both with RockShox suspension.

Pivot was the first pedal bike brand to develop a truly proprietary e-bike, and it was the instant high bar by which all others were measured. Both models of his Shuttle are Shimano-powered and have many unique features.

Mountain Bike Hall of Famer Brent Foes’ own unique brand of suspension smarts was the basis of his E-Ticket e-bike. Starting with the American-made aluminum frame, the concept bike features the full complement of Brent’s signature design and tech cues.
