ELEVEN PINE CRANKITUP SHORTS – SPEEDSLEEV BALLISTIC NYLON SEATSLEEV – SWIFTWICK ASPIRE SEVEN COLORED SOCKS
ELEVEN PINE CRANKITUP SHORTS
Mountain, road or gravel
Eleven Pine is a small Colorado- based company focused on offering riders a middle ground between Lycra and performance baggy shorts. Pine developed its 11P system that allows riders to adjust the leg fit of their shorts on the fly. The Crankitup short has bolt loops and two large front pockets, along with a light- weight liner short. These shorts use the 11P system and retail for $99.
SPEEDSLEEV BALLISTIC NYLON SEATSLEEV
Better than a seat pack
There are some riders who don’t like to take hydration packs on their rides but still need some type of storage for their tools and tubes. Speedsleev offers its ballistic nylon Seatsleev that will fit a tube, CO2 cartridge, tire levers and even a small multi-tool. This sleeve is available in small and large sizes, with the large being big enough to fit a plus- sized tube. The large size retails for $40 and can be found at www.speedsleev.com.
SWIFTWICK ASPIRE SEVEN COLORED SOCKS
Compression with flair
Some of us here at Mountain Bike Action are pretty big fans of socks—Swiftwick socks in particular. The Aspire line comes in a few different heights, with the Seven best suited for mountain bikers. These socks use compression to promote blood flow and are light, with a thinner construction to improve wicking. The Fusion Blue and Hi-Vis Yellow are new colors and retail for $18. The socks are made in the United States.
THERE ARE SO MANY WAYS TO GET MOUNTAIN BIKE ACTION
Mountain Bike Action is a monthly magazine devoted to all things mountain biking (yes, that’s 12 times a year because we never take a month off of mountain biking). It has been around since 1986 and we’re still having fun. Start a subscription by clicking here or calling (800) 767-0345.
