FIRST IMPRESSION: PNW ROVER HIP PACK

CARRY ALL BIKE RIDING ESSENTIALS

First Ride Impression & Features

Today, PNW Components launched their new Rover Hip Pack further extending this brand’s recent expansion into apparel and soft good options for cyclists. The new pack is pretty straightforward with quality materials,  lots of pockets, and all this coming in at a great value. The new Rover Hip Pack pack features a main compartment for larger items (small camera, burrito, tubes/tools), a secure neoprene padded pocket that is ideal to keep phones safe, and two convenient wing pockets that allow riders to easily access smaller essentials (like a quick snack, tire plugs, or extra GoPro batteries like our Wrecking Crew will store here).

Right out of the box and in our hands, it is light in weight and should remain durable with PNW’s use of tri-layer sailcloth laminate fabric. Given the product has a Pacific Northwest background, is also complete with polyurethane-coated YKK zippers to ensure gear stays dry from the wet. Once loaded up and clipped on, each strap can be adjustable individually while the padded air mesh back panel provides support/comfort. We haven’t spent too many blistering hot days riding with this pack yet, but we will say, it breathes well and remains comfortable on our rides for how much weight it can hold. Another notable feature we liked is the detachable water bottle holder that can be run on either side of the Rover Hip Pack. More details to come once we have more time with this pack, but overall, we’ve really been liking all the latest PNW Soft Goods that have been produced and launched recently.

The Rover Hip Pack is available in two colors, Dark Matter (Black) and Star Dust (Light Brown).
Retail MSRP: $69 USD
