FIRST LOOK! 6D ATB-2 HELMET

6D’s ATB-1T EVO helmet was way ahead of its time with its ODS rotational impact protection technology. However it was bulky and didn’t flow air all that well. That all changes with the introduction of 6D’s all new ATB-2T.

The ATB-2T has improved ventilation, increased coverage, and has a much lower profile than its predecessor. And it’s 7% lighter too with a size medium coming in at a claimed 460 grams. 6D didn’t skimp on the features – it comes with a three position visor, fidlock magnetic strap closure system and integrated sunglass dock ports. It’s goggle compatible as well.

6D’s Omni-Directional suspension system utilizes a dual liner suspension design that was created to manage impact energy from multiple angles, velocities and different types: angular and linear. The ATB-2T received a five star rating from Virginia Tech – its highest safety rating possible suggesting that this technology really works. We are testing an ATB-2T so watch for a long term review in the pages of Mountain Bike Action.
