FIRST LOOK: MARZOCCHI’S NEW BOMBER AIR SHOCK

Breathing air into Marzocchi's shock line-up

FIRST LOOK: MARZOCCHI’S NEW BOMBER AIR SHOCK

Marzocchi is finally bringing an air can to the back of the bike and you could say it’s “slightly off.” Where most suspension companies have their piggy back reservoir running parallel down the air can, Marzocchi has offset theirs asymmetrically. In doing so they claim to have opened up better pump access, improved compression lever ergonomics, and brought a more versatile frame fitment.

The large reservoir or “Big Rezi” as they’re calling it is said to increase oil flow and volume for a more consistent performance on all varieties of terrain, including long downhills and heavy impacts. This shock is being offered in a large size range with both metric and trunnion options, fitting both small framed jump bikes and big DH rigs alike.

At $479 USD this shock hardly seems affordable, but when compared to shocks of a similar caliber, it’s taking an average of over $100 off the nearest option. This keeps Marzocchi’s reputation of affordable hi-performance shocks intact. All in all this shock seems like a good bang for your buck.
