FIRST LOOK: ÖHLINS TAKES ON THE XC SCENE

Designed with XC racing in mind

8 June 2023, Upplands Väsby, Sweden

Öhlins has introduced its highly anticipated XC range, which includes the debut of the RXC34 m.1 forks, TXC1Air, and TXC2Air shocks. The brand, known for its outstanding performance and leading products in the Enduro and Downhill categories, is now leveraging its extensive technological expertise to expand into the XC segment. This move represents an exciting development for Öhlins as it broadens its product portfolio based on its racing achievements and commitment to innovation.

The new fork incorporates Öhlins’ floating axle

With the unveiling of their partnership with Team BMC Racing earlier this year, Öhlins reinforces its focus on racing and innovation while further developing their technology and creating the next generation of race-winning products. The company has introduced various new technologies, such as air spring design and serial shim stack, alongside their already proven innovations like the floating axle and rigid chassis. Team BMC has already tested these innovations, particularly emphasizing their performance on the challenging tracks in Paris during the upcoming 2024 Olympics.

Available with standard or trunnion eyelets

Incorporating their suspension innovations, a new damping system was developed for both the front fork and rear shock. In the fork, a new OTX14 damper and updated two-chamber air spring provide increased traction and wheel control while the stiff chassis gives a stout feel and excellent handling. When put in a racing environment, the new suspension handles modern XC tracks with ease and efficiency.
