A simple and versatile platform that blurs category lines

Designed to blur category lines

The P3 platform has gained a cult-like following from Specialized fans over the years. Now totally redesigned and revamped, the new P. Series is a versatile line of dirt jump/hardtail frames aimed to give riders of all sizes and abilities a simple and durable platform. There are four different wheel and frame configurations, from 20″ up to 27.5″, built around a tough but lightweight alloy frame.

Four sizes – from 20″ to 27.5″ wheels

Specialized redesigned the P. Series frame from the ground up to handle the abuse that dirt jumpers can go through. Cables are internally routed through the frame to keep things clean and quiet, and a whole new range of sizes opens up possibilities for more riders. These bikes are designed to feel equally at home at the skatepark, flow trails, or dirt jumps and use common MTB standards to make swapping or replacing parts easy. Boost 12 x 148mm rear spacing, the ability to run a dropper-post, and derailleur compatibility allows a myriad of options for a wide variety of trails and applications and makes finding replacement parts easier.

All frames are spec’d with a BSA 73mm bottom bracket

All P. Series builds receive Specialized all-new Kicker 2.1″ dirt jump/street tire. This new tire sports a low profile and features block-in-block treads that make it fast rolling but still able to find grip with ease. For those that want something with a bit more width, the new frame has clearance for up to a 2.35″ trail tire, turning this into a weapon on local flow trails. The boost rear wheel spacing increases rigidity and durability, and a new drop-out design allows for 15mm of adjustment for both single-speed and geared setups. There is also a tapered headset and a BSA 73mm threaded bottom bracket, increasing the overall reliability and ease of maintenance.

The P1 is the smallest 20″ model, with the P2 having 24″ wheels, the P3 having 26″ wheels, and the P4 having 27.5″ wheels. Prices range from $650 for the P1 up to $2,100 for the P4, as well as a P3 or P4 frame-only for $700.
