First Look: Specialized Stumpjumper Carbon EVO Pro

27.5 vs 29

Specialized Stumpjumper Carbon EVO Pro

27.5″ vs 29″

Specialized launched the Stumpjumper EVO in 2018 at Crankworx, Whistler. The bike built off the newly designed Stumpjumper frame, but with an ultra aggressive twist. We’re talking about a bike that is about as long, slack and low as one can get. Today, Specialized is proud to announce the  Stumpjumper Carbon EVO Pro. This S-Works model brings a stiffer and lighter weight carbon frame to the table making this bike the ultimate shred machine. Mountain Bike Action was lucky enough to score two of these carbon beauties in order to shootout their two wheel size options.  In one corner stands a bike with quick and nimble 27.5” wheels. The other corner stands a bike with tall and fast rolling 29” wheels. The competition is set for a future issue of Mountain Bike Action Magazine. Until then, you can compare spec’s below and let us know which bike you think will win the gravity bike title.

Put to the test: Our test riders raced lap after lap in order to bring you a final decision on which wheel size is best for you.
The two bikes feature a nearly identical spec.
