Flashback Friday: Chainless Downhill, Crested Butte, Colorado, 2010

Back in the summer of 2010, the MBA staff went to Crested Butte, Colorado, to check out their 30th Annual Fat Tire Bike Festival. It was a wild  week of fun and  crazy events, not the least of which was the wacky Chainless Downhill Race. It started out in the hills outside of town, sending dozens of riders— most clad in unusual costumes and riding unconventional bikes—on a seven-mile downhill coasting race, finally arriving in downtown Crested Butte for more fun and games.  Photo: John Ker/Mountain Bike Action
