GIANT NRS: SETTING UP THE SHOCK

Q. I Have a giant nrs 3 and have no idea how it should be set up for up hill climbs and fast downhill jumbs? I am 6’0 200pounds can you help?

RC: Set the spring pressure so that the shock will not sag on level ground, and then add 10 to 25psi to compensate for the rearward weight transfer of the upgrade–that will make it climb best. As far as your descending request goes–you got the wrong bike for jumping and agressive descending. I doubt the Giant NRS can hold up with a big boy like you aboard. Stick to trail riding until you can buy a good dual-purpose bike like the Giant Reign.
