GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN: LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY’S UNDERGROUND BIKE PARK, PART 2

Louisville's subterranean bike park has been closed for a few years now, but it was fun while it lasted.

Check out MBA’s “Photo of the Day” from 2015 to learn more about Louisville, Kentucky’s remarkable underground bike park, built inside an old limestone mine. The air inside the park reportedly stayed just below 60 degrees Fahrenheit all year round, because of the natural temperature of the cavern, situated 100 feet below the earth’s surface. The bike park closed a few years ago, but it was a memorable experience for those riders (and MBA’s John Ker) who visited it while it was still open.
