THROWBACK TUESDAY: GREG MINNAAR’S SPEED SECRET

Dual Slalom Racing

We were going through some old photos and came upon this one of Greg Minnaar from the Dual Slalom race at Whistler Crankworx in 2008. Greg has told that one of his speed secrets is to look way ahead on the course instead of looking down at the ground a few feet ahead of the front wheel. Check Greg’s face in this photo. He clearly follows his own advice, and it definitely works for him. Minnaar won his fourth Downhill World Championship in 2021, and he has more World Cup wins in Elite Men’s gravity competition (23) than any other rider in history.
