It’s That Time of Year Again: Shiny New 2013 Parts To Drool Over from BTI

It’s that time of year again. The new BTI catalog is here. If you’ve even ordered a bike part from a shop, chances are good that it came from the wizards at BTI. Their new catalog features a grip-load of new options for components to drool over, which can be perused here:

Bicycle Technologies International (BTI) 20th anniversary parts and accessories catalog is now shipping to bicycle shops nationwide. The cover features 20 years of BTI cover art, highlighting just how far the company has come from since its first 24 page b&w booklet was published in 1993. The comprehensive resource has grown to 1,216 pages representing 300 brands, giving dealers more to digest than ever before:

The 2013 book introduces greater category support for 27.5″ (650b), BMX, electronic accessories and Fatbikes. The BTI buying team has implemented the S.H.I.S (Standard Headset Identification System) throughout the entire inventory of headsets, bringing consistency to brands that may have been slow to adopt the standard.

The year ahead promises to be a benchmark for BTI: in addition to rolling out an expanded freight program, the company is less than 2 months away from consolidating its three warehouses into one larger distribution center, and is working on plans to celebrate its 20th anniversary. According to BTI Vice President Preston Martin, “while other distributors are opening regional warehouses, BTI is focused on optimizing inventory fill-rate and improving our speed of delivery from a single location. Dealers can expect a more complete order, faster.”

BTI gave dealers the ability to opt out of receiving the paper catalog this year in favor of using the web. While a significant number of shops chose this option, dealers that still receive the paper catalog can rest assured that the catalog they receive is printed in the USA with soy inks on recycled paper with the Forest Stewardship Council’s seal of approval.

Look for BTI catalogs to begin arriving this week via UPS, with full saturation expected before the middle of February in the lower 48 states. Dealers who have not received catalogs by Feb 18th or shops that would like to order additional copies for their service departments can call BTI’s Customer Service Department: 800-558-8324.
