January Riders’ Photos: Hot Enough For You?

Hot enough for you? This past summer set all kinds of crazy heat records, and it is one we all want to forget. So, Trail Mix could feature riders on snow-covered trails to cool you off, but we are pitching you a curveball and keeping the furnace on high.

FARAWAY RIDING

The highlight of spending two years in Turkey was the frequent mountain bike trips to Cappadocia (site of the 2007 European Mountain Bike Championships).  The landscape is so unique and the flowing singletrack is so perfect; it felt like we were in another world.

BONE SHAKER

The views outside of Las Vegas are to die for. While riding Bone Shaker (a.k.a. Bone Breaker), I captured August Ryan hitting a 6-foot jump, which he landed perfectly. Red Rock Canyon is in the background.

KNOW WHEN TO FOLD ‘EM

I was in Vegas for work but had free mornings before the meetings started. Connected with McGhie’s Outpost and guide Bobby for a 2.5 hour ride in Red Rock Canyon (just 30 minutes from the strip). What a blast! Stay and play at its best.

HOT TIME IN CHILE

About to take in the Valle de Luna in San Pedro do Atacama, Chile. The sunset was well worth it. Great end to a great afternoon of riding.
