Inside The Pros’ Bikes

Chloe Woodruff’s Pivot Mach 4 Carbon

Bike weight: 22.5 pounds
Estimated price: $9000

1. Frame.

“I’ve raced on the Pivot Mach 4 Carbon on the XC World Cup (and at the Rio 2016 Olympics!). The XS size has 100mm travel front and rear. The shock is a FOX Float DPS iRD, which I run at 105 psi.”

2. Fork.

“I run a 27.5-inch FOX 32 SC 100mm fork with iRD, usually set at 52 psi with a single volume spacer. The shock is a FOX Float DPS iRD, which I run at 105 psi.”

3. Tires.

“My go-to race tire is the Maxxis Aspen 27.5×2.25 with EXO sidewall protection. It provides good corner knobs, rolls fast, has enough volume to comfortably run low pressures and is light enough for World Cup racing.”

4. Inner tubes or tubeless system.

“I always have Stan’s Race Sealant in my tires.”
