New Product Discovery: Northwave Extreme XCM 2 GTX Shoes

Northwave was one of the first companies to introduce Gore-Tex materials into a cycling shoe, enabling riders to push through the cold winter months with warm and toasty feet. The Extreme XCM 2 GTX shoe is designed for mountain bikers, while an almost identical option is offered for roadies. Both shoes feature a Climaflex collar with thermal neoprene that’s designed to keep riders’ feet warm and cozy while also enhancing performance and comfort. The shoe offers a carbon insert in the pedal area for added stiffness and additional insulation throughout the shoe. Northwave sells the XCM 2 Gore-Tex shoes for $330. They range in size from 39–48 and have a claimed weight of 448 grams.
