Every rider needs a good pair of sunglasses or goggles depending on their discipline, and Roka makes some highend shades. Roka has seen some success in the road bike and triathlon world but has models that can carry over into mountain biking.

The CP-1X has a larger goggle-like frame that sits off the rider’s face to allow for more airflow. These glasses are sweat-resistant and lightweight at 29 grams per pair. Roka offers 13 different lenses, with one suited for darker conditions or rides in the shade.

“Tinker Juarez was racing for Volvo/Cannondale when I shot this photo of him at Mt. Snow, Vermont, in August of 2001. It was the final NORBA National Championship XC series for that year, and Tinker ended up being the top American finisher in the race.” - @ker_john

At this point, Tinker had long been one of the top XC racers in the States and had won the NORBA overall XC title in 1994, 1995, and 1998, along with a gold medal 🥇 at the 1995 Pan Am Games. He’s still going strong today at the age of 63, giving him one of the longest professional cycling careers in history 🏆
