A SECRET TRAIL IN NEW MEXICO
This is a photo of a secret downhill trail in the South Foothills, Albuquerque, New Mexico. The trail is named Helicopter, and not too many local riders know about it. The trail starts with a steep roller that drops straight into a tight switchback. The day this shot was taken was very windy, which made dropping into this section rather sketchy.

RACING IN VIRGINIA
Hi, MBA. Long-time subscriber here, and I absolutely love the magazine! The articles and product evaluations are always on point and relevant. Here is a photo of me at the Rails to River XC race at Lake Fairfax Park in Reston, Virginia. The race conditions were awesome, and included a mix of stream crossings, berms and jumps. I placed ninth of 36 in my race category in this race. Thanks for being an awesome magazine!

SOUTH AFRICA
The photo was taken at Jonkershoek, close to Stellenbosch, in the Western Cape of South Africa. There is some great riding out there, and the country is affordable.

GRANDPA AND GRANDSON
Here’s a shot of my 4-year-old grandson rippin’ the cross-country trails on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, with me, his 65-year-old grandpa. Mountain biking is a wonderful sport for all ages.

QUEBEC, CANADA
My buddies and I are very fortunate to ride Tremblant (Quebec, Canada) trails every Saturday. Here, from left to right, are Nathalie Bolduc, Marie-Josee Leblanc, Bernard Podolski, Gabor Glasz (front), John Rosse, Nicholas Kohner and me, Francois Boucher, behind the camera. Except for Nathalie (who is a fantastic skier), my buddies are ski or snowboard instructors at Tremblant ski resort during the cold season. In this picture we are taking a pause on top of Deer Mountain at the trailhead of Envoye en Bas (translation: “Send It Down”). This trail was built during a Red Bull Trail Crew competition. The Red Bull logo appears on the higher part of the wooden structure. Just lucky riders enjoying MTB life.

HARVARD, MASSACHUSETTS
This photo is of me riding trails in my hometown of Harvard, Massachusetts. Although not the most impressive elevation-wise, I’ve managed to seek out some pretty gnarly terrain here in Harvard.
