Here are some pictures of me and my brother on one of the gnarlier trails in the Albuquerque South Foothills. Pictured are the infamous rocks atop the Knobbies No More Trail. A double-black-diamond trail, this is not the ideal trail to screw up on.

NEW ZEALAND: LEARNING TO JUMP AT AGE 55

At the age of 55, my bike buddy Paul Crichton and I decided to learn how to jump. We’re pretty good riders, but only if our wheels are firmly on the ground. We started with a small ramp on the lawn at home and slowly built it up. Riding a Scott Genius 29. To all you other middle-aged guys out there—you can do it!

LOCAL BIKE PARK

The local bike park (Mountain Creek Bike Park) just opened, but it’s slow-going with all the rain. I’m hoping to do more shooting this year. It’s just so hard when I can ride instead.

Lake James State Park Loop is a 3.6 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Nebo, North Carolina that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
