Places To Ride

If you’d like to see yourself or your riding buddies in Mountain Bike Action, follow the directions at the bottom of this screen. We hope to see your photos in these pages someday soon👍

THE CANADIAN ROCKIES

This trail is called the Kinney Lake Trail and is the rideable portion of the Berg Lake Trail. Many people ride their bikes on this approximately 7-kilometer section of trail, and then lock their bikes on park-supplied racks to continue hiking up to Berg Lake. There is approximately 200 meters of elevation gain over 7 kilometers, with 53 meters of elevation drop sprinkled in to keep things interesting. I have brought my family here to backcountry camp for a few years now, and it is a great reset for all of us when the school year ends. The water from the area is mostly glacier-fed, which contributes to the color of the water. With a simple LifeStraw, we regularly drink from the numerous fast-flowing waters along this trail.

Kinney Lake Trail

Although the trip is short, it is the one trip we talk about throughout the year! There is absolutely no cellular service, so we are left alone to enjoy the spectacular scenery. Mt. Robson itself is the highest point in the Canadian Rockies and the second highest peak in British Columbia. It is a short trip, but one we talk about throughout the year!
