PROMOTER OF SOUTH AMERICAN STAGE RACE IS PLANNING ITS RETURN

The Atacama Spirits seven-stage race crosses the Atacama Desert in Chile and goes to the Pacific Ocean

The Atacama Stage race has been held three times so far, and the promoter is looking to bring it back in 2022. At the bottom of this posting, you can find the link to watch the promo video for the 2021 version of the race.

Here’s what the promoter wrote to us:

“My name is Christian Téllez and I’m the creator of “Atacama Spirits” extreme MTB race, an ultramarathon that goes through 650K of extreme Atacama, and we reach 5700 meters above sea level one of the stages ( some 18700 feet high ) then, we cross the desert all the way to the Pacific Ocean. We successfully completed the third edition of our challenge last November, 2021, and now we are looking forward to let the world know about us. That’s why I wrote to your magazine, we are looking to get published on a global scale or even find a media partner for the fourth edition. “— [email protected]
