Riding Through The Pandemic With Anneke Beerten
I raced my first BMX race at the age of 4 and started riding mountain bikes when I was 16 years old. A little girl’s dream became true when I won the World Championships in BMX and later in the mountain bike discipline of four-cross.
I am excited to start sharing my experiences, thoughts and adventures with the readers from Mountain Bike Action. This is a great platform to show you my world from my perspective.
First of all, I hope everyone is holding up okay in these crazy times. I think a lot of people can relate to the fact that it feels like we are on this crazy roller-coaster ride in 2020. At least it’s a ride, so let’s buckle up and ride this out!
By this time of the year, I normally live out of my suitcase, travel the globe and am super busy with racing and going to events. This has been the longest time I’ve ever spent at home. At first, I struggled with it, but I soon started seeing that this big shift in my life also gave me new opportunities.
