ROCK SHOX MOVES TO COLORADO

RockShox has announced this week that it will move its’ corporate and manufacturing operations to Colorado Springs, Colorado. RockShox, which has been in Northern California since its inception in 1989, will move its Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Research and Development, Information Technology, Finance and Human Resources divisions from the Silicon Valley area to Colorado Springs this summer. RockShox will leave its manufacturing operations in San Jose for about 24 more months until it can slow down production enough to make the move.
?Earlier this year we made the decision to leave San Jose. The cost of operating in the Silicon Valley area has become burdensome for the business, and the congestion has become less conducive to the lifestyle of many of our employees. We initially searched over 80 potential locations within the Western United States, and ultimately, Colorado Springs best met our criteria,” said Chief Executive Officer Bryan Kelln. RockShox has stated that its new location’s close proximity to the Olympic Training Center is an added benefit for the Company.Mr. Kelln closed by saying ?This is a significant step toward rebuilding the profitability of RockShox. The move should decrease our operating cost structure, while providing a high level of employee satisfaction.?
