Spotted – Giant Anthem 29er Prototype

Giant revamped their Anthem line up in 2012 with 27.5-inch wheels. Since then, the smaller wheeled platform has gotten a couple overhauls with suspension and geometry.

During today’s short track race we spotted Carl Decker on a blacked out full suspension with what looked like 29-inch hoops.

Giant wouldn’t say much regarding the new bike, but it is using a full carbon fiber frame and rear triangle with a new Trunnion mounted shock.

Rear suspension travel looks to be in the 90-100mm range with 100mm up front.

A noticeable change is the smaller 27.2mm seat post diameter as well.
