MEN’S TEAM SCORES HISTORIC UPSET IN CAPE EPIC

The Absa Cape Epic has drawn to a close and the final stage of the event delivered a day that saw the event’s history books rewritten as Speed Company Racing overcame a two-minute and 45-second deficit to claim the Men’s yellow leader jerseys and the overall title at Val de Vie Estate. The Women’s category saw Candice Lill and Mariske Strauss race to a stage win, but it was not enough to remove Hayley Batten and Sofia Gómez Villafane of NinetyOne-songo-Specialized from the top step of the podium.

US OPEN FAT BIKE CHAMPIONSHIP RETURNS TO NORTH CAROLINA, MARCH 18-20

“The US Open Fat Bike Beach Championship is about having fun and competing on a unique course,” said race director David Ellegood, President of the Southern Off-Road Bicycle Association (SORBA) Cape Fear chapter. “The race is held one hundred percent in the sand, and each year the course and beach obstacles change, creating unpredictable levels of difficulty.”
