Team Polygon Riding BOX Components for 2015

BOX Components/Promax USA has partnered with the downhill, enduro and slopestyle team, Polygon United Ride, as its shifter and derailleur sponsor.

The team is currently riding and testing the newest BOX components. “As we move forward into production with our long-awaited derailleur and shift system, the team will test them at the highest level and help us validate performance and weed out any issues we may have. They will also be working with us on some new stuff we are developing,” said Colin Esquibel, CGI’s director of product development. “We are looking forward to a fruitful relationship between this group of riders. I have worked with Fabien, Mick and Tracey Hannah, as well as their newest member, Andrew Neethling, on projects in the past with great success. They are a great group of riders, as well as super knowledgeable in terms of R&D and providing input on new products,” Esquibel added. BOX first showed CNC-machined samples of its Factor shifters and rear derailleur to the public last winter at Press Camp, generating widespread interest from all corners of the cycling industry.

The team began riding samples of the latest shifters and derailleurs last month at training camp in New Zealand. The shifters and rear derailleurs were shown last weekend at QBP’s Frost Bike and will be on public display March 18-21 at the Taipei International Cycle Show. The Polygon UR Team is: Downhill: Mick Hannah, Tracey Hannah, Andrew Neethling and Remy Morton; Enduro: Jamie Nicoll, Aurelien Giordanengo and Fabien Cousinié; Slopestyle: Sam Reynolds and Loic Esteve.
