Missy Giove tells all in this video interview from 1994, the year she won the UCI Downhill World Championship

America’s Missy Giove was one of the best and most popular downhill racers in the world in the 1990s and early 2000s. She won the UCI Downhill World Championship in Vail, Colorado, in 1994 and took third in 1993, 1996 and 2002. Missy won the overall World Cup Downhill series title twice, in 1996 and ’97, with the legendary Anne-Caroline Chausson finishing second behind Missy both times. Anne-Caroline went on to win the World Cup title the next five seasons, from 1998 through 2002, with Missy taking second behind Anne-Caroline four of those times, from 1998 through 2001.

Here’s an interview with Missy from “Fat Tire Journal” that we found on Missy’s Facebook page. She mentions in the video that the World Championships are going to be held in Vail, Colorado, the same year she was giving this interview, which means this video was made in 1994, the same year she won the UCI Downhill World Championship.
