The USA takes the lead in the results from the first day of competition

The Pan American Mountain Bike Championships began on Wednesday, May 9th, at Soldier Hollow Nordic Center in Midway, Utah, and they will continue through Sunday, May 12th, 2024.

The first groups to race were the Women’s and Men’s Masters Categories, where the American riders took most of the top spots.

The one category where no American riders placed in the results was in the Elite Women’s XCE (Cross-country Eliminator) event.

In the Elite Men’s XCE race, American Carter Hall took the win, with a total of 11 American men competing out of the field of 23 racers.

We expect the top American women will be concentrating on the Elite Women’s XCO (Cross-country Olympic) race which is scheduled to take place on Sunday, along with the Elite Men’s XCO event.

Looking at the results from the first day of racing, the top country so far appears to be the U.S., with Ecuador, Brazil and Mexico close behind.
