Trail Mix

Trail Mix

Trail Mix” is our selection of the best photos sent to us by riders from all over the world. Every month we enjoy sifting through the photos of riders out on the trail doing what they do best—enjoying this awesome sport. If you’d like to see your photos in the pages of MBA, you can submit them by following the directions at the end. Happy trails.

NORTH OF INDIA, EAST OF NEPAL

The trails in Bhutan are epic. These guys are fearless and tremendous people. It was the experience of a lifetime.

My wife Nancy and I spent 10 days hiking and biking in Bhutan in September. Mountain biking is a fairly new sport there. We booked our trip with Pelden Djori. He taught himself to ride three years ago and has already won several Asian races. He is an incredible rider. He is seen in the picture with the flags. This was taken at 12,000 feet at a monastery. Sangay Tshering is the other rider in the picture.

EARLY START

Our daughter Brooke has been riding since she was 3 weeks old and has recently taken an interest in reading MBA. She already likes riding along on the dirt paths at our local park. We can’t wait to get her out on the trail in a few years!

SLEEPY HOLLOW

Here is a picture of my friend Dan Mellinger on the new trail, Rogue One, at Sleepy Hollow Ski and Bike Center in Huntington, Vermont. They have a Star Wars-naming theme there, and a lot of great trails. We were just a couple of the 50 or so people there for the official ribbon cutting of this new trail.

PALM SPRINGS

Just bought a new Yeti SB130 and took it for a spin in the desert near Palm Springs. The trail is Art Smith up to Hahn Buena Vista DH. The palm trees are an oasis in the middle of the desert.

The ride was amazing, and the bike is awesome!
