Trail Mix: Riders Doing What They Do Best
Trail Mix” is our selection of the best photos sent to us by riders from all over the world. Every month we love sifting through the photos of riders out on the trail doing what they do best—enjoying this awesome sport. If you’d like to see your photo in the pages of MBA, you can submit them by following the directions at the end. Happy trails!
Riding near Nederland, Colorado, up around 9500 feet, I caught this golden blaze of early fall color, punctuated by perfect skies. I joke now that my bike is not yellow but “fall camp.”
THE 55+ SENIOR GAMES
Every year our province, British Columbia, Canada, hosts the 55+ senior games. This year we were in Kimberley, and I competed in the 70-to-74 age class in the 18-kilometer mountain bike cross-country race. Pictured is the mass start on the Jimmy Russell Road, and the Upper Thunder Turkey trail.
This is me riding a new brand of bike called Esker at Outerbike in Crested Butte, Colorado. I spotted this bike among a sea of manufacturers to choose from and it was impressive! The demo event is very well organized and features three days of demos, lift service, shuttled rides, lunch and post-ride beverages. I highly recommend this event if you are in the market for a new bike.
