There is no magic training bullet or workout that is going to make a difference. Trying to get fast in a few weeks, months or one off-season is going to lead to burnout. Nothing happens overnight, and the most important thing for long-term success is consistency and staying healthy.
Training indoors there is a temptation to do a lot of shorter and harder workouts. Don’t forget to work on the essential basic hours; you need to build the foundation of your house before you party in it. A general rule is try to make at least 80 percent of your time at a basic intensity.
Training indoors you typically sweat a lot more than usual, so don’t forget to increase your hydration to match. If you get really dehydrated, it can take several days to recover from it.
