TREK LAUNCHES THE NEW WAHOO TRAIL
Adult-level features in a kids' oriented and durable platform
Words – Trek Bikes
Trek has launched the all-new Wahoo Trail today–a premium kids’ mountain bike that’s lightweight, fun, and built to inspire a lifelong love of off-road adventure. This mini powerhouse was built to the same standards as our adult mountain bikes and engineered to tackle rugged terrain. Equipped with kid-specific hydraulic disc brakes, a 1×9 drivetrain, and MTB-style trigger shifters, little rippers on Wahoo Trail will enjoy precision control, effortless shifting, and adult-level tech that will set them up for future success. Plus, 2.2” tires provide excellent traction for conquering any trail, a carbon fork keeps weight low, and a front mudguard keeps mud at bay.
Trail tested and approved
We test Wahoo Trail frames to meet our adult mountain bike standards, so parents can sit back and enjoy the ride while their little ripper gets rad.
Less weight. More fun.
A carbon fork keeps things light and quick and helps absorb trail vibrations for happy hands.
Confident stopping power
Kid-specific hydraulic brakes make stopping a breeze so young riders can navigate trails with ease.
Geared for adventure
A 1×9 drivetrain helps kids up climbs and kid-friendly trigger shifters teach them how to switchgears simply and efficiently.
Wider tires, more traction
Wahoo Trail’s 2.2″ tires make it easy to roll over all types of terrain, so kids can explore more confidently.
Ready to drop in
Slacker geometry and a lower step-over height increase stability on uneven trails and keep kids confident and in control.
The Wahoo Trail is available in a 24″ wheel size and is available now, priced at $699.99.
