WORLD CUP NEWS: AMERICA’S RILEY AMOS DOES IT AGAIN

American Riley Amos won the U23 XCC Short Track race at Crans-Montana

WORLD CUP RACING NEWS, FRIDAY, JUNE 21, 2024:

America’s Riley Amos continued his incredible win streak in U23 cross-country racing at this year’s World Cup series, with his win of the U23 Men’s XCC (Cross-Country Short Track) event in Crans-Montana, Switzerland today. America’s Riley Bjorn took second in the race, with Luca Martin of France taking third.

Riley Amos’s winning streak this year makes us wonder how he’ll do when he finally starts racing the Elite Men this year. That will happen at the Olympics in July. It will be interesting to see how he does when races against Nino Schurter, Tom Pidcock and the rest of the Olympic riders when they face each other on July 29th in Paris.

In the meantime, in the women’s U23 event at Crans-Montana in this weekend’s World Cup racing, Canada’s Emily Johnston took the U23 Short Track win, with Germany’s Carla Hahn taking second, and America’s Madigan Munro finishing in third place.

Here are the results of the top ten men and women in the U23 Cross-Country Short Track races at Crans-Montana today:

The Elite Men’s and Women’s Short Track races will be taking place this Saturday, and the Elite Men’s and Women’s Cross-Country Olympic (XCO) races will be happening on Sunday.
