Canyon Releases New Alloy Trail Bike

Canyon’s newest release is the Spectral AL. It offer’s trail-fit geometry, a 64-degree head tube angle and a 76.5-degree seat tube angle, with 150mm of travel in the front and 140mm in the rear. The Spectral AL is ready to be ridden with full 29er wheels or a mixed wheel setup.
Canyon’s goal was to create a simple, ‘ride it ’til the wheels fall off’ bike. Keeping the price as low as they could with the Spectral AL, they set their sights on pleasing the riders who want to throw the bike in the truck, go rip laps and not worry about fidgeting with settings on the trail or washing all the dirt off when they get home.
Canyon offers three different builds for the Spectral AL including a 2,299 € (~ $2,649) Shimano Deore build with RockShox Lyrik suspension and a 2,999 € (~ $3,455) Shimano SLX build with Fox Float Performance suspension.
A third, and more expensive build option is the CLLCTV Fabio Wibmer edition which comes in at 3,999 € (~ $4,607) and is equipped with SRAM AXS electronic shifting, RockShox Ultimate suspension, and Fabio’s custom ‘Bolt’ paintjob.
From Canyon:
“The Spectral AL takes the award-winning recipe of the Spectral CF and cooks it down to the essentials. It has the same playful, all-rounder ride, The same geometry that laughs in the face of gnarly descents and makes climbs feel like less of a chore. Canyon’s engineers optimised every inch of the Spectral AL to work with the strengths of aluminium yet retain the celebrated characteristics of its carbon sibling. From the sleek tube profiles to forged frame details, this bike isn’t just functional—it looks damn good doing it.”
