MBA Says
While a little on the heavy side compared to a race specific wheelset, most testers didn’t notice the additional weight due to the super smooth DT-Swiss hubs and overall stiffness. The wheels rolled incredibly smooth and far made up for the additional weight on flat or rolling terrain. It wasn’t until the grade increased or charging out of tight corners did the weight become noticeable. Another factor that testers noted was durability. After several months of hard and aggressive riding the wheels remained true and still felt as smooth as day one. Also, while not as important as the performance aspect the wheels appearance appeared more expensive than their $450.00 price tag and held up impressively well with only minor scratches. Overall the wheels provided great all-round performance and would a solid choice for a rider that is hard on wheels or looking to do high miles.
