I have to admit I’m a sucker for anything with a ca-mo pattern; however, my love for the Bell Super Air goes deeper than its looks. At the heart of the helmet is an inner shell that rotates independently of the outer shell. After hitting my head a few times in recent years, I rely on helmets I can trust, and Bell’s latest technology is something I personally believe in.

Fly Racing Super D Jersey & Radium Shorts
Fly Racing has a long history in action sports and does its homework to make their gear the best it can be. What I like most about Fly’s gear is that it’s tough enough to handle crashing while also being comfortably breathable. When I’m looking for a durable kit that can handle a long day out on the trail, I more often than not grab my Fly Racing kit.

Giro Havoc Cycling Pants
In the past, I was never one to wear pants while riding my mountain bike, since I thought pants were reserved for downhill racers. Giro’s Havoc pants changed my mind. Not only were these pants comfortable enough to pedal up the trails in, they also offered more breathability than I ever thought a pair of pants could. Best of all, on muddy trail days, I could slip out of these pants with fairly clean socks and spotless knee pads. This left me with less gear to clean up, making heading out the next day much faster.

Ride Concepts Transition
Clipless Shoes
I’ve worn many different shoes this year for trail/enduro riding. All in all, the clipless Transition from Ride Concepts is a solid option if you’re looking for a remarkably durable shoe that can manage the toughest downhills without sacrificing on the climbs. Not only is the brand based in my hometown of Tahoe, the product is a great example of RC’s vision for a superior mountain bike product.

Tubolito Tubes
I love trying to find new ways to pack smarter. These Tubolito tubes are super compact and light. Sure, it will be much lighter, but running these tubes as an alternative to a standard butyl tube has me spending more than I would like when an unpredictable flat comes my way. Regardless of the price ($34.95 for each tube), I enjoy the space/weight saved when bikepacking and cannot get over how easy it is to place a spare Tubolito in my jersey pocket for a quick ride.
