Training for Crankworx Slopestyle | Nicholi Rogatkin & Kaidan Ingersoll
The rookie and the veteran preparing for the biggest contest series of the year
Training for Crankworx Slopestyle | Nicholi Rogatkin & Kaidan Ingersoll
10 years of age separates these two riders from the east coast of the USA. They have different riding styles and approaches to putting together a contest run, but their dedication to their craft is the same. Both Nicholi and Kaidan are passionate about riding and pushing themselves to be the best they can be while, at the same time, building others up with a contagious, positive energy that they both possess.
It was such a pleasure to be able to spend a day at Nicholi’s new compound with him and Kaidan. Witnessing them ride these massive jumps combined with the tricks they do on a daily basis was inspiring. Both of these riders are good friends of mine, so to be able to capture the last session at the compound before they headed to New Zealand for Crankworx was very special to me.
Crankworx Rotorua marks Kaidan’s debut on the biggest slopestyle series in the world. Should he drop-in for the finals on March 9th, his first Crankworx Slopestyle finals run would come exactly 3900 days after Nicholi’s first run. I firmly believe both of these guys have what it takes to win, and I couldn’t be more excited to watch the event.
Thank you Kaidan and Nicholi for going huge this day and for hosting me, so that I could document this little moment in history.
